Gallery & Museum 2nd October

This time together with Arjun we went to Johannesburg Art Gallery and Africa Museum. Aparently JAH is bigger thatn the National Art Gallery in Cape Town but it didn't impress me. I liked Museum Africac much more. Inside there was another museum Bensusan Museum of Photography - check out my photos in kaleidoscope :-)
The best part of this trip is that JAH is located in the city of Joburg - not the safest place on the planet. We couldn't find the parking in front of the JAG so we did couple of circle around it - we saw an amazing part on Joburg. Full of people, full of cars, full of fairs. I didn't feel safe at at. I didn't dare to take any photos. But I've got some photes from the gallery and museum.
Enjoy.

African Market Again 25th September

Some more pictures taken at the African Market.

Soweto Bike Tour 25th September

Together with Patrik we went for a 2h bike ride around Soweto. We went to a small fair, Mandela's house and Hector Pieterson Memorial.

Support Staff Off-site in Franschhoek 15-18 September

The whole support staff from my office went to Franschheok for an off-site for 4 days. We flew from Joburg to Cape Town - we had a chance to see Table Mountain from the plane. The purpose of this trip was to reconnect and teambuilding. We worked in teams and we had to do vatious of things. One was to cook a dinner for ourselves. It wasn't the best activity since I don't like cooking. I didn't enjoy the food that we cooked and I was hungry that evening. I enjoyed the mountain biking - beautiful scenery. Have a look at the pictures.
We stayed at the golf club - very nice place surrunded by mountains and vineyards. I had amazing view from my room window - small lake, green trees and mountains.

Joburg - the city of gold and diamonds

The Elephant Sanctuary Hartbeespoort Dam (Sep 10th)

It was my second encounter with elephats but this time I could touch them, brush them, feed them and ride them! It was really great!! The elephant's skin is very hard, it feels like a dry muddy soil. They have short but spiky black hair all over they body. Those gungle giants are pretty unpredictable so I didnt feel safe while walking or feeding them. The trip was a great experience and a lot of fund - this place is a bit expensive though....

Jo'burg Day Music Festival (Sep 3rd)

I had a chance to participate in one of the most important music events in Joburg. It was Joburg Day Music Festival on Sep 3rd. There's loads of differences in comparason to the festivals in Poland. Thy opened gates at 10am and the whole thing was finished by 19. t 18 it was getting dark and cold. It was rather a family picknik than a music festival, people brough chairs, blankets, portable fridges it really felt like the music was just an addition to the family time out. Apparently there was 20 000 people but it didn't feel like it. It wasnt really packed even the golden circle was pretty empty. I got to know two fine SA rock bands one called The Parlotones the other Prime Circle. I found the first one a bit boring but I really enjoyed Prime Circle. Both bands are very popular in SA.
It was fun afternoon and I'm happy that I was there.
