The Apartheid Museum

Apartheid Museum is a must when you come to South Africa. It is an integral part of the country's history and heritage.
The entrance to the museum brigngs you closer to the history that you would think. Your ticket tells you wheather you are 'white' or 'not white'. Based on that random segregation you can entry to museum through one of the entries - for whites or not whites. Very ingenious.
The museum is vast contais loads of different types of exhibitions - pictures, dcumentaries, belongings etc.
I had a chance to see also a temporary exhibition about Nelson Mandela. Another very interesting thing was the wall, on which there were Mandela quotes 3 in green, 3 in red, 3 in white and 3 in yellow. You could chose the Mandela quotes that inspire you most by sellecting the corresponding colour-coded stick. Then you could place your stick in one of the grids and follow in Mandela's footsteps.
I chose courage!

African Market

Today I went to the African Market at Rosebank They had loads of hand made souvenirs but after all I didn't buy anything. I liked wooden giraffes and masks the most. If you want to have a vuvuzela this is a good place to get it.
