Joburg - the city of gold and diamonds

The Elephant Sanctuary Hartbeespoort Dam (Sep 10th)

It was my second encounter with elephats but this time I could touch them, brush them, feed them and ride them! It was really great!! The elephant's skin is very hard, it feels like a dry muddy soil. They have short but spiky black hair all over they body. Those gungle giants are pretty unpredictable so I didnt feel safe while walking or feeding them. The trip was a great experience and a lot of fund - this place is a bit expensive though....

Jo'burg Day Music Festival (Sep 3rd)

I had a chance to participate in one of the most important music events in Joburg. It was Joburg Day Music Festival on Sep 3rd. There's loads of differences in comparason to the festivals in Poland. Thy opened gates at 10am and the whole thing was finished by 19. t 18 it was getting dark and cold. It was rather a family picknik than a music festival, people brough chairs, blankets, portable fridges it really felt like the music was just an addition to the family time out. Apparently there was 20 000 people but it didn't feel like it. It wasnt really packed even the golden circle was pretty empty. I got to know two fine SA rock bands one called The Parlotones the other Prime Circle. I found the first one a bit boring but I really enjoyed Prime Circle. Both bands are very popular in SA.
It was fun afternoon and I'm happy that I was there.

Pilnesberg Game Reserve (27&28 August)

It was amazing adventure. Fantastic encunter with elephants. The hippo was to far away to have a good picture but have a look at elephants and a stuning views.
